Information meeting mobility

Thursday, 17 November, at 14:00. Here you’ll find out what you have to do to be part of the exchange programme in the 2023-2024 academic year!

Presentation

If you would like to take part in an exchange with a European university, this is your opportunity.
ERASMUS+ was approved by the European Parliament for the period 2021-27. The programme is part of the Europe 2030 strategy. It encompasses all the schemes for education, training, youth and sport. In education, it includes all levels: school education, vocational education and training, higher education and adult education.

Erasmus+ integrates the current schemes of the Lifelong Learning Programme and is divided into three key actions:

  • Action 1 Learning Mobility of Individuals.
  • Action 2 Cooperation for innovation and interchange of good practices.
  • Action 3 Support for policy reform.

The mobility of students at higher education institutions is included in Key Action 1 of the Erasmus+ programme.

General information

This programme makes it possible for students to complete a period of study at European universities with which University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) has signed agreements for each degree. Thanks to these agreements, no enrolment fees are payable at the receiving institution.

Each period of study will be for one semester or one complete academic year, in accordance with the conditions stated in each agreement. Any students who have already availed themselves of the Erasmus programme, can ask to participate for a second time provided that they do not exceed the maximum of two periods of study.

Students may be permitted to apply to extend their stays to up to a maximum of 12 months, in accordance with the requirements and criteria set out in the terms and conditions of the scheme.

Enrolment

When students pay for their enrolment at University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG), they are exempted from being charged for tuition or administrative, examination, and library and/or laboratory access fees at the receiving university establishment. They may be charged a small fee for costs such as insurance expenses, student union membership and use of materials on the same basis as local students.

The students selected for the programme will be able to formalise their enrolment in the different modules they will be studying under the mobility scheme in the usual manner through the Comillas virtual platform, in the way and within the time limits specified in the Erasmus terms and conditions. Enrolment at the receiving university in the modules to be studied must be carried out through the corresponding administrative services.

Recognition

In order to recognise the period of study completed at the receiving university, an academic agreement will be entered into between the coordinators of the two universities and the student, which will state the modules the student will complete at the receiving university and the modules that will be recognised once the period of study has finished.

If you would like to request a place on the Erasmus scheme, you must file your application one academic year before you intend for the period of study to happen and follow the indications of the current terms and conditions.

Requirements

  • Being enrolled at University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) for a minimum of 30 credits for the academic year during which the application is submitted.
  • Remaining enrolled at University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) during the academic year in which the interchange takes place.
  • Having passed at least 45 credits for the student’s degree as part of which the student is applying for the mobility scheme at the time of application (except postgraduate students).
  • Holding nationality, permanent resident status or refugee or statelessness status in any of the states participating in Erasmus+.
  • Having the language competence required by the receiving university duly certified at the moment of application. Students must submit the corresponding accreditation document when submitting their application in accordance with the common European reference framework.
