Beneficiaries
The main role of the Student Assistance Service at University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) is to attend to and meet the needs of students regarding academic and administrative issues and any relating to the secretary’s office. Our goal is to respond to requests and inform and guide students towards the relevant specific services to address their needs and problems.
The Student Assistance Service is also a meeting place, a point of reference for communicating information and a place for sharing experiences, lodging complaints and making suggestions.
Initiatives
Linguistic partners
The idea of linguistic partners arose from the concerns about the students’ oral proficiency level in English and Catalan. The aim is for meet-ups to happen at least one hour per week with someone who is an expert in one language but with less proficiency in another.
Shared accommodation
This is a service whereby people with spare rooms in their flats are put in touch with others who are looking for accommodation. The intention is to foster friendships between students and enable them to get to know each other better, as well as saving them money.
Car sharing
The intention of this programme is twofold: to benefit both the environment and our students’ mobility, whether they live in Palma or in the outlying areas.
