What makes us special
Friendly and welcoming approach
At a college with less than 700 students and more than 60 teachers, the relationship between teachers and students becomes very close. All this benefits the quality of the learning experience.
University tutorials
As part of our policy to foster individualised attention, at University College Alberta Giménez we have been applying a system of individual tutorials for years, enabling regular and careful monitoring of our students’ progress. Each student has a university tutor, in addition to their subject tutors. A unique and constant point of reference they can turn to.
Connecting with the working world
University College Alberta Giménez has over 200 collaboration agreements in place with the most outstanding educational, communication and sporting establishments in the Balearic Islands. We promote both course placements and extracurricular placements. From very early on, the focus is placed on connecting students with the job market and fostering their entrepreneurial spirit.
Positive rating of the companies
The average score attained by the tutors and supervisors of the students at University College Alberta Giménez in follow-up surveys is high: an average of 8.44 out of 10 (data from the survey for the 2020-2021 academic year). The students also rate our placement processes very highly.
Educating with values
The Pureza de María community, owner of this college, has been devoted to teacher training since 1872. Its long 150-year history has borne much fruit on three continents. Its main mission is the integral education of the person, guided by Christian humanism.
The university is something more
Our work as teachers is not only based on teaching a curriculum. At our university, we want to go further: we educate people who are responsible, trustworthy, aware, competent, critical, compassionate and committed, and capable of building a better world. A university degree opens the mind to thinking with order and rigour, which enables new skills to be developed and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing world.
What benefits does a Bachelor’s degree bring me?
What both the degrees taught at University College Alberta Giménez and those given by any other academic establishment have in common is that they train young people in two respects. On the one hand, they teach the knowledge and skills corresponding to the qualification, thereby opening doors for the future to an important activity in society. And, on the other hand, a university degree opens the mind to thinking with order and rigour, and develops human and social skills which raise the person to another level, enabling them to perform other activities that are not intrinsic to the qualification. The great advantage of university is that those who are interested learn to think, to reason, to build a discourse, to analyse and to navigate society. At the same time, it trains them to channel creative impulses through adopting development techniques and mechanisms that are highly productive for those who master them.
However, there are more advantages: a university student, according to statistics, is less likely to be unemployed and normally earns a higher salary than those without that academic training. All the qualifications provided at University College Alberta Giménez open the way to the Administration’s competitive examination processes, in which university graduates can access level A, the best paid level. At the same time, all our qualification programmes lead on to opportunities in the world of education, which are only possible with a university degree.
Tranquil environment and good transport links
The University College Alberta Giménez has very good transport links, through both road networks and public transport, and also for cyclists: the Palma bicycle path network is very close by. Students enjoy quality education, with a global approach, in Mallorca, in a tranquil environment such as that offered by the Vileta district.
A college whose doors are open
Every academic year, we hold two open days between February and April so that you and your friends and family can tour our college and get more detailed replies to your questions. Arranging a personal interview to gain more information about the degree you are interested in is always easy.

FAQ
How much do the Bachelor’s degree
and dual degree programmes at University College Alberta Giménez cost?
University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) is a non-profit institution. All that is received is put towards maintaining our personnel and facilities. It receives no subsidies of any type, and therefore the students pay for the cost of their education. In any case, students have access to grants and financial aid, both from our college and from public and private institutions.
What does each of the degrees require of you?
Students have to be interested and keen to better themselves, to learn, to discover a world they didn’t know. This is the basic starting point. If there is no desire to improve, to understand, to gain knowledge, if there is no clear drive to progress, we can’t take up a challenge such as studying for a Bachelor’s degree
How does entry to the Master’s and postgraduate studies work?
Entry to Master’s and postgraduate studies is regulated in a similar way to that of the Bachelor’s degrees. There are two procedures for pre-registration (applying for admission) and for enrolment. The entry requirements, documentation to be submitted and the admission process are explained in detail on their web pages.
